Amata Cattle Yards have between 100-200 head of Hereford Cattle and about 100-200 horses. Amata community owns all of the cattle. It is hoped that CDEP workers will become involved to help muster, brand, and look after cattle, break in horses and work on fencing. At the moment there are 10 workers. Jonathon Lyon wants to help train the CDEP workers to do this work and he wants to get the cattle yards up and running with vehicles to help with mustering.
