The Indulkana Aged Care provides a place for Elders to stay and receive healthy food on a regular basis. The Centre consists of three main buildings which serve as accommodation, kitchen , laundry and toilet facilities. There is also ample outdoor space to enjoy the warmth of the sun or roll a swag out for a midday nap. The Elders often make do with what they have for breakfast, although Irene Dingaman an extremely dedicated worker resides there providing essential supplies. Mona Whiskey is the coordinator with Irene assisting her . The centre never closes which is extremely beneficial to the Elders. At lunch time there is always a cooked meal which may consist of; Stews, Soups, Spaghetti Bolognaise, Mashed Potatoes, Chicken, Mince and plenty of vegetables. Often there is fruit available depending what is in season such as apples, oranges, watermelons and rock melons. In the evening time the Elders also look after their own food and drink needs, often on the weekend a box of Kangaroo Tails are delivered which the Elders enjoy immensely. Firewood a very important fuel and is randomly dropped off to the centre. There are some shade trees currently in the ground which when mature will provide some vital shade which will be very important in the hot summer.
