The old community office was always situated in a very old building which, in the station times, used to be the old stockmans quarters. Recently, the community office has moved into a new building which was completed in late 2002. The plans are to do up the old Stockman's Quarters building and use it for tourist accommodation for the new camel and flight tours which are starting soon in the community.

The community office runs the CDEP program and administers general community office tasks such as processing permit enquiries, assisting with banking needs and Centrelink issues and inducting visitors, as well as the general admin for running of the community. There is also community internet access at the office.

The two regular office workers are Lois and Zanee, plus other members of the community help out if they are there. Kenmore is a small community and works together well. Everybody takes responsibility for the day to day tasks of running the community.
