AREYONGA TIGERS vs DOCKER RIVER EAGLES

The MIMILI BLUES, FREGON BULLDOGS, andINDULKANA TIGERS have combined to make the SOUTHERN AP HAWKS to play in the CAFL (Central Australian Football League) Country Competition in Alice Springs. The AMATA BOMBERS, PUKATJA POWER, and PIPALYATJARA LIONS have combined to form the AP CROWS as the other competition from the AP Lands. The CAFL country competition takes place at the same time as the AP Football League.

A 24 man squad called the CAFL DESERT WARRIORS was named from the eight team CAFL Country Competition to take on the Tiwi Islanders on Saturday, July 1st at Traeger Park. According to Coach Adrian McAdam, a former AFL star, "these players have been given the honour of being part of the first ever representative team from the CAFL Country Competition. The DESERT WARRIORS won the match.

Season: March through August. Finals start in September.
