Training for Radio 5NPY broadcasters is tied into professional accredited qualifications when possible. This includes:
- RTO support from Radio 5UV in Adelaide, leading towards Certificate II in Community Radio: Radio Operations [Nat. Code 5018].
- training for secondary students at schools in the AP Lands, organized by AES (Anangu Educational Services). Students learn in BRACS studios in their communities. They develop their programs as part of their schoolwork and broadcast on Radio 5NPY. Radio 5UV co-ordinates the training, which also leads to modules of the Certificate II in Community Radio.
